June 23, 2014, the UAW Durres staff and volunteers, in cooperation with the Mary Ward Loreto foundation, the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Committee (ATIP) Albania and ‘Different & Equal” organized the ToT workshop with young women and men. The aim of the activity was to raise awareness and take prevention measurements to reduce the causes that lead vulnerable girls and young women to become trafficked victims.







May 2014 brought  together round 40 young volunteers of UAW in Durres in the initiative action of one week ” Let’s clean the Albanian sea shore”. Th initiative aimed to raise the awareness of having a clean environment in order to have a better life and more tourism. Twenty five of the volunterrs helped clean the beach zone from Ura e Dajlanit  to the Plepa place, while the others monitored the action in four points of trash collection in the city of Durres. Alongside with them, a group of women and men from the respective communities, joined the youngsters’ call and gave their contribution too.







August 19, 2014, in Gose-Kavaje in Durres, a meeting was held with the community people to implement a social business to cultivate fruit plants like pears, almonds, cherries, tangerine, oranges, plums, olives, etc. The idea behind is to keep and flowerish an old tradition of this community which wil help both with the employment possibilities and the increase in their family income.
